This craft and workshop course focuses on further creation and discussion of original fiction with a focus on thematic purpose and the creative process. (Note: Due to a new course number and new course materials as of Spring 2017, this workshop is open to students who are new to the course as well as to those who took it with Nicole previously). Workshop pieces may be in the form of any young adult fiction category, including literary fiction, romance, science fiction, fantasy, historical fiction, speculative fiction, etc. Students simultaneously increase their proficiency as fiction writers and deepen their critical responses to the work of peers.
