This course is intended for students who seek to understand the meanings and structure of Sylvia Plath's Ariel poems; to understand, identify and interpret symbolism; and to gain an introductory knowledge of the basic tenets of tarot and mysticism in written creative expression. Students will have weekly written responses, class discussion, presentations and individual creative work inspired by Plath's mystic models. Students are not required to have taken Part 1 previously.
