Course Number: IMF 55705 (new course number as of Fall 2016)
Available Sections: OL1
Class Type: Journal Editing
It is highly recommended that all MFA students enroll in at least one Literary Journal class during their time in the program (these online classes are usually offered in summer and fall quarters). This class gives students the chance to be on the other side of the submission process and is a useful experience as a writer and editor—and it allows students to list an Editorial Assistant credit on their CV/resume and their bio for future submissions. Students can enroll in up to three different journal editing classes during their time in the MFA program. The fall course number is new, so it is open to all MFA students.
Students in this journal editing class will read, discuss, and vote on fiction and essay submissions to The Lindenwood Review for issue 7. To become familiar with TLR, visit our website at www.lindenwood.edu/lindenwoodReview. This class does not include a creative writing workshop for student work. Other work includes a literary journal presentation, proofreading of accepted pieces, and determining the order of pieces for publication in the journal. Students will be listed as Editorial Assistants and will receive a copy of issue 7 of The Lindenwood Review.
Issue 6 of The Lindenwood Review
